Vite and react-i18next

I'm wondering if anyone has been successful in getting react-i18n successfully running in a Vite project. It seems as though when using the http backend to fetch the translation bundles from the public folder it can't find them and returns a 404.

Any help/guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!
