Does govc supports IPv6 URLs?

trying to connect over IPv4 works:

$ export GOVC_INSECURE=1
$ govc about -u=https://172.21.x.y/sdk

But calling the same server over its IPv6 network doesn't seem to work. I'm not even sure if the format of the URL is right, FYI it's ens192 (the interface on Ubuntu).

$ govc about -u=https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%ens192]/sdk
govc: invalid value "https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%ens192]/sdk" for flag -u: parse "https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%ens192]/sdk": invalid URL escape "%en"

and trying the %25 instead of character "%" in the URL:

$ govc about -u=https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%25ens192]/sdk
govc: Post "https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%25ens192]/sdk": Bad request

FYI the govc version is latest

$ govc version
govc 0.33.0

running curl does show that I'm reaching the correct URL:

$ curl -g "https://[fe80::250:56ff:feaa:bbcc%ens192]/sdk"
curl: (56) Received HTTP code 502 from proxy after CONNECT

Any pointers from anyone?
