Quite a few sponsors currently represented on the homepage provide services to by followers on several social media services.
This certainly is against the ToS of those services and possibly(?) illegal. Looking at the naming scheme of the url / image it at least seems that some of the sponsors are fronts for the same service.
It seems there is currently no process for whitelisting sponsors in place.
There also seem to be quite a few online casinos sponsoring vue. While not illegal (i think) there should be a question if vue wants to place ads for services that prey on people with addictions.

The only good news is that most of the users including me probably don't care at all about investigating the sponsors' backgrounds and clicking their links.
