Distinguish consent for data processing from consent for other actions by a site? #129

When writing #128 I realized that it might be confusing for some people (including me) to understand that there is a difference between consent for data processing and other kinds of actions that might be seen as "consent" or "agreeing" that a person would expect to do on some sites.

  • Agree to site ToS

  • Grant a copyright license permitting the site to publish content that the person creates on the site or uploads to it

In the case of a content-sharing site (such as a fanfic site, wiki, or photo sharing site) some kind of "consent' might be common.

Some data is both "a creative work authored by me" and "personal information about me" (easiest example: a selfie) so could require "consent" in multiple areas to be handled in accordance with the person's wishes.
