In general, new security issues are discovered every day. In order not to leave these security issues and critical issues unaddressed by continuing to use older watermint toolbox releases, a maximum period of availability has been set from Release 130.
The period is three years from the date and time the release was built. I would prefer it to be shorter, given the speed at which security issues are discovered, but I believe that if it is too short, deployments will be more complex.
If you want to manage a shorter lifecycle, use homebrew or similar to do regular updates.
I have also added a new feature that allows watermint toolbox project administrators to stop a specific release if a security issue or critical bug is found in a particular release.
