Webpack WarningsToErrorsPlugin replacement?

Awesome project!

Looking to replace webpack with rspack. Our initial tests are promising, but we currently have one plugin that we have not found a replacement for - WarningsToErrorsPlugin.

Is there a native way to turn warnings into errors?

Also, your second option bail: true isn't documented to fail on warnings

you're right, bail only handles errors not warnings - my mistake.

the custom plugin is the way to go:

  class WarningsToErrorsPlugin {
    apply(compiler) {
      compiler.hooks.afterCompile.tap('WarningsToErrorsPlugin', (compilation) => {
        if (compilation.warnings.length > 0) {
          compilation.errors.push(...compilation.warnings);
          compilation.warnings = [];
        }
      });
    }
  }

  // rspack.config.js
  module.exports = {
    plugins: [new WarningsToErrorsPlugin()],
  };

this moves warnings into the errors array before emit, so the build fails on them.
