New operating mode "optimization"

When customers add a sonnenCharger for example, or the old one get's updated, the sonnenbatterie will be set to the new operating mode 11 automatically. This ensures intelligent management of charger and sonnenBatterie.

Thanks a lot for the information. Since I have a SonnenCharger in my setup, I'd be interested in how to determine whether that "got updated" (I assume this means a new firmware revision?) so that the integration can decide whether the default mode should be "2" or "11" for example. Also, if possible, it would be nice to know if there are other relevant changes to the API and the data returns.

I'm not seeing the charger in the app but even if I did, that wouldn't help the integration much, right? ;) So what I'm looking for is a way for the integration to determine whether the upgrade has already happened.

I'm aware of that and, quite honestly, I find the "documentation" provided there somewhat lacking. Maybe as an example:

That's not a documentation. That's a list of parameters without the slightest hint as to what their meaning might be. So, sure, I now know how to call the API but what I don't know is how to interpret the result.

That's why I asked whether there's a better documentation and maybe even one where the changes between revisions are marked/annotated.

Um genau zu sein: Ich sehe den Charger in der Sonnen-App nicht und wenn ich die Charger-App benutze, dann sagt die mir, dass sie keinen Charger finden kann. Ich vermute das hängt damit zusammen, dass neulich mal wieder ohne Info meine Sonnenbatterie mit einem Update beglückt wurde. Inzwischen melde ich schon gar nicht mehr, dass mir da immer wieder eine Firmware aufgespielt wird, die scheinbar nicht zur Batterie passt, da ich jetzt wieder das Standard-Passwort und nicht - wie in der Anleitung angegeben, das auf der Batterie aufgedruckte - verwenden muss. Weil sonst wird das nur wieder umgestellt, woraufhin ich dann wieder alle meine Apps anpassen muss, nur damit beim nächsten Update wieder die Standard-Version aufgespielt wird und das Spiel von vorne los geht.

Deswegen wäre ich auch sehr interessiert daran, mehr Infos über die Sonnenbatterie zu bekommen. Damit die dann vielleicht auch mal wieder macht, was ich möchte ;)

Zur Doku: da kann ich leider nur zustimmen, wünsche mir seit Jahren auch etwas mehr Info, aber bis jetzt konnte ich noch niemanden überzeugen :-(
Zum Charger melde ich mich nächste Woche mal bei dir, bin aktuell im Urlaub.
