Currently, the scanned variables are saved as multidimensional arrays in the wt5 file. This is incompatible with several wright tools functions that expect 1D arrays. The wt5 file DOES contain point arrays that correspond to the scanned axes as variable objects. It would be convenient to the researcher if these point arrays were automatically updated to the axes in the wt5 file instead of the multidimensional arrays.
