Request: Include git commit in $&version return value #147

Description

@jpco

Perhaps for released/packaged versions $&version output can stay the same as it is now, but for building from the github repo, it would be handy to include git commit info. rc does something like this where it only has the git commit in its $version variable, but I think it would be more useful to include the most recent release and the current git commit, something like this:

; echo <=$&version
es version 0.9.2 2-Mar-2022 a91f68a
