Plugin Restart takes too long.

Hey there, first of all great plugin!

The following things to my system:

Windows 11 - "latest" whatever version...
Installed pnpm and all dependencies like python, nodejs, watch and rollup.

So Iam now at the step to run watch with pnpm run watch
at the end the batchjob tries restarting the fr.dbenech.spotify-plus and this takes ages and never completes. I let it run 10 minutes without any "progress", so I assume I do something wrong.

Also because of that I was skipping this step in my first try and used the next command to link the plugin, that worked.
But now I ran into the issue that streamdeck says this:

✖️ Linking failed
Plugin already installed: fr.dbenech.spotify-plus
Another plugin with this UUID is already installed. Please uninstall the plugin, or rename the directory being linked, and try again.

I'am running out of options now 😄

PS.:
Also would be great to also have a Single-Button one for the whole stuff without the album-cover. 😄

Thank you for the answer.
So I did everything again like described in your new README.

Problem is still that the link to "fr.dbenech.spotify-plus" already exists so streamdeck wont let me execute more stuff.

How can I remove a link once created?

Also for the suggestion, I will come back to this after resolving the Problem. 😄

Ok, I managed to remove the plugins symlink by navigating to ´%AppData%\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins´ and removing the link there.

So the Command was succesfull.
Restarting the plugin still takes ages and will not finish.

But the plugin is visible in the software and ready for use.

Now to the Spotify Dev part.
I tried creating a new app-token with http://localhost:4202/callback
but Spotify says this:

So I tried using 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost. But then I only get this:

Blank page in browser with only the message from the screenshot.

What now? :D

Okey, I managed to fix this by simply readding the key again.

So here is my suggestion:

Could you make a thing next to left / right like "single" for a single key where you can only see maybe the title and track-lenght so you can put it on a single key without beeing cut off on one side?
Iam using 3 Dials already with Dial-Stacks and would like to have a single one for Spotify. Is this possible? 😃

So one more thing that catched my attention yesterday while I was playing. If you pause a track and wait for around 5-10 minutes, the addon will not unpause on "click" anymore, it looses the album-cover and track-name, as soon as you rotate the dial so the song skips, the rest will work again, but also not every time, sometimes you have to manually pause/play in the app-player.

Edit: After hearing music for around 15 Minutes the cover and title also does not update anymore until you click on the dial to pause the current playing title or skip to the next or previous one. Also sometimes tracks are marked as liked then, without beeing liked in the app, if you like them in the app then and tap on the screen to unlike them they are getting unliked and the heart turns grey again. Seems like the API looses the connection or is not properly updated even if the update is set to 1 second.

If this all works fine, you could upload it as an build .steamdeckplugin release 1.0 for easier install to other people or even go one step further and upload it to the Elgato Store. I think there would be many people that would love to have a good spotify plugin for the plus.

Ok I can already give you feedback.
I got Spotify open in the background and paused.
I was away from Keyboard for like 10-15 Minutes, now the plugin does not show the title, the cover and progress.

Pressing the button to start the playback does not start the playback, also turning does not skip the track.
