Did you install the SDK? Under the sketch menu, you need to click Add File.. and add the java leapmotion sdk JAR file. You may also need to add the .so native library file.

I think it should be "HandList"

And "size()" should be "count()"

I've fixed these issues with the Leap SDK 0.7.5 in my pull request.

Try using the new version with winduptoy's changes, should fix the problem.
