This repository contains the project, made with arduino, of our slot machine for the zodiac signs. it was created to be presented at the open days of the Magistri Cumacini
Framework: PlatformIO from VSCode
Language: C++ with Arduino Libraries
- Zodiac Sign calculation with cusp and ascendant
- Slot Machine Animation
- Physical keypad input
- Communication with the user using LCD display
- You need the arduino we used, all the components and the 3d printed structure. So you can't only download and run this project.
- Those stuff are not avaible yet, maybe in a next versione we will release those things
- You will need a medium level of experience to use 3D printers and recreate a fairly complex circuit, so this is not a project for novices
You must install and use PlatformIO, as we said in the tech stack
To recreate this project, you will need to replicate all the connections shown in the electrical diagram, as well as 3D print the plastic structure. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the FAQ, the detailed information for this step has not yet been published on GitHub. It may be released in a future version.
At the moment, you'll find only the C++ code, which could be interesting for learning purposes. Additionally, there are several branches that demonstrate how we implemented the project step by step by joining the tiles.
To deploy this project press the down arrow button placed right to the run button on VSCode, then select Upload. The code will be automatically uploaded on the connected arduino
Shortcut: Ctrl + Alt + U
For support, you can create an issue on this reposityory, as long as the project is supported

We are four students from Como, Italy, studying computer science at I.T.I.S. Magistri Cumacini high school. We are passionate about technology and programming, and we love working on creative projects together.
This project is our way of sharing our enthusiasm for computer science and inspiring others to explore the world of technology. We hope to make it easy and exciting for new people to get involved and discover what they can achieve with the skills we’re learning.
Thank you for visiting, and we hope you enjoy our work!
