Welcome to the ProximityEffect wiki!

ProximityEffect.js is a component that alters various CSS properties depending on how far away a DOM element or the mouse pointer is. It directly supports modifying any style available with transform and filter, but can animate any single-value CSS rule, with multi-value support planned.

It is a port of an old Flash component back in the day, brought over to web standards just for the sake of it. The original included a number of advanced features that made it surprisingly utilitarian for a toy project and could be used to drive some quite impressive UIs. Time will tell if the same becomes true of this version.

There is nothing else here yet, and is not likely to be for a while.
