Aflami is an Android app for movie and TV show lovers. It helps you discover, track, and explore a huge library of entertainment. With a clean interface, Aflami makes it easy to find the perfect movie or show to watch based on your mood and viewing history. This project is your one-stop-shop for everything movies and TV.

• Recently Watched: This section keeps track of the movies and TV shows you've viewed the details of. An "All" button allows you to see an expanded list of your recently viewed content.
• Top Rating Section: Discover critically acclaimed movies and TV shows. An "All" button provides access to a more extensive list of top-rated content.
• Mood Picker: Unsure what to watch? Select your current mood, and Aflami will suggest a movie for you. You can either dive into its details or get another suggestion until you find the perfect match.
• Upcoming Section: Stay ahead of the curve by browsing upcoming movies and TV shows, conveniently categorized by genre.

• Get Instant Suggestions: Aflami will recommend a movie that matches your chosen vibe.
• Discover or Try Again: You can tap "View details" to learn more about the suggested film, or select "Get another movie" to receive a new recommendation until you find the perfect one.

Advanced Search

The powerful search functionality allows you to find exactly what you're looking for.

• Search by Keyword: Find movies and TV shows by any keyword. Results display the title, poster image, release year, and rating.
• Filter Options: Refine your keyword search results by rating or genre.
• Search by Actor: Enter an actor's name to see a list of their movies.
• Search by Country: Discover movies from a specific country. Start typing a country's name to see suggestions, and select one to view related films.
• Recent Searches: Your recent search keywords are saved for quick access.

• Create Your Own Lists: Add custom lists with titles of your choice to group your favorite movies.

• Add Favorites: Include any movie from the app into one or more of your custom lists.

• Delete List: Remove the entire list when you no longer need them.

Islamic Image Viewer

Ensuring a respectful viewing experience for all users, featuring intelligent content filtering using on-device machine learning to detect and automatically blur potentially inappropriate content according to Islamic cultural guidelines.

Installation

1. Clone the repository

   git clone https://github.com/Amsterdam-Team/Aflami.git

2. Open the project in Android Studio.

3. Add required properties In the project root, open or create a local.properties file and add the following:

   ndkDir="~/Library/Android/sdk/ndk"

   To obtain your YOUR_API_KEY:

   1. Create an account at The Movie Database (TMDB)
   2. Go to Settings → API in your TMDB account
   3. Generate a API Key and paste it as apiKey above.

4. Build and run the project on an emulator or physical device.
