OPPO Neo 5 Root

This is a flashable zip file that roots the OPPO Neo 5 (aka model no. 1201).

Tried and Tested on my OPPO Neo 5 2015 "1201ex-a_11_170329."

Deprecated!

We now recommend rooting this phone using Magisk.

Instructions

1. Download fileroot.zip
2. Power off your phone
3. Go to Recovery Mode
4. Click install from storage device
5. Find where you put the fileroot.zip
6. Install the file
7. Reboot your phone

Known issues

This root will prevent the system from updating, the phone will say "Rooting is detected."

It is recommended to use Magisk for systemless root.
