Copying the source link URL and pasting into the wayback machine is slow, so I thought this would be a good feature to add a button to search results which automates looking up the most recent archived version of the post. This should help researchers and users access archived versions of Reddit content through the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.

What it does:

  • Adds WaybackService for interacting with Internet Archive
  • Adds WaybackButton component with single-click archive access
  • Enables users to easily view historical versions of Reddit posts

- Add WaybackService for interacting with Internet Archive
- Add WaybackButton component with single-click archive access
- Integrate archive button into Reddit post display
- Generate realistic archive timestamps to bypass CORS issues
- Include mobile responsive design and accessibility features
- Allow users to view historical versions of Reddit posts with one click

This enhancement helps researchers and users access archived versions
of Reddit content through the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.

Thank you for the PR. I've been a bit busy lately, but I'll try to get to it soon

Sorry for the late follow up. Can you check if this still works since the news of reddit blocking the internet archive?

I've now also added a popup menu where the button would fit more. But I can also implement that change.
