Assignments
A project is made up of several assignments. These typically are named "Planning" or "Research" and contain more concise Subtasks (e.g. "Drawing a diagram", "Looking up information in the wiki"). Assignments have different status:
- Future - the assignment was created
- Active - there has already been work time generated on this specific assignment
- Done - the assignment was completed
- Aborted - the assignment was aborted
- Postponed - the date planned or the due date for the assignment was changed while still active
The assignment overview contains controls to create, edit and delete the assignment. You also can edit the subtasks planned for this assignment or create new. The buttons at the bottom are for changing the status of the assignment (left for done, right for abort).
Navigate to the subtask overview of an assignment by clicking the blue button on the right corner. You will then be able to either create new subtasks or edit or delete existing subtasks. It is important to note that only assignments with at least one subtask are able to track the time you need for an assignment
If you have at least created on subtasks for an assignment you can double click on it and start tracking your working time. If you want you can adjust the name of the entry but this will also work afterwards. If you then stop the time and click on the left button at the bottom, a new log entry will be created which can be found in the "Log entries"-menu item
