MavSTU is a web application designed to provide University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) students with a centralized platform for accessing course information, sharing resources, and connecting with fellow students. The project aims to enhance the academic experience by offering a user-friendly interface for course exploration and collaboration.
- Home Page Authentication: Sign-in system using @mavs.uta.edu email addresses
- OTP Verification: Secure access through OTP sent to university email
- Course Catalog:
- Search functionality for UTA courses
- Detailed course information including prerequisites
- Integration with official UTA course descriptions
- Summaries from RateMyProfessor and Reddit
- Resource Sharing: File upload form in the contact page
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Backend: Python (Flask)
- Data Storage: Local JavaScript file (courses.js)
The project is currently in development and not yet hosted for public access. It exists as a code repository on GitHub.
