Release v2.1 - Squads and Comparisons
What's New
- Squads
- A much requested feature, you can now build squads in BFMT!
- There are 3 ways to make squads in BFMT
- Copying an existing squad in BFMT
- Importing from a code (which BFMT will generate for you)
- And creating a new squad from scratch
- When adding a squad, you're able to customize many aspects of it
- After a squad is created, you're presented with 4 different tabs
- Multidex Links gives you an accessible list of all the multidex entries in your squad, making it easy to view the details of each unit, ES, and sphere used
- Buffs displays all the buffs given by each entry in the squad split be either target or by actives and passives. You can also highlight specific buffs you may or may not have
- Spark Statistics shows you, well, spark ststistics for your squad
- Remember Project Sparkle, the web-base spark simulator? Yeah, I put that here and improved it to be faster and more accurate (for example extra attacks are now accounted for in calculations)
- After setting your options and running the simulator, a new section will appear displaying the results of the simulation. Here, you can pick from the results and apply that new configuration to your squad
- Arena gives you position suggestions based on the known Arena AI data of the unit.
- Clicking the Share button brings up a Share dialog that will help share your squad with others
- It outputs in Markdown supporting 2 platforms: Reddit and Discord
- The code and link tabs will give you the code of your squad and a direct link to add the squad on your own when clicked, respectively
- Compare
- You can compare across different units, spheres, ES, bursts, and LS
- Clicking on each entry will take you to their respective multidex page
- Similar to the Buffs tabs in the Squads page, you'll seea list of buffs given by whatever you're comparing against
- There are a few ways to add to the comparison
- Use the button on the bottom right of the page, select your entry type, and select your entry
- Go to a specific multidex entry, click the blue button on the bottom right of the screen, and choose to add to your existing comparison or to create a new comparison
- Go to a multidex type and filter your search results. Once you're ready, click the blue button on the bottom right, select from your search results entries for comparison
- Recommended for comparing against a bunch of entries
- Tip: When searching by name, you can separate your queries with the
|
(pipe) character
- You can compare across different units, spheres, ES, bursts, and LS
- Other updates
- Every multidex entry with effects now has a buff overview card that shows the buffs given by that entry in a single list
- Only units have the fancy color coded indicators because they have multiple buff sources
- Buff tables in general have been updated to show buff names based on /u/Linathan 's Proc/Passive IDs project
- There's a new SP build copy format for Linathan's SP Build project
- Probably more, but don't remember at the moment
- Every multidex entry with effects now has a buff overview card that shows the buffs given by that entry in a single list
What's next?
A (not final) list of features planned for this tool:
- A major architecture update (probably re-writing major portions) to focus on improving performance
- Story viewing
- Summoner data (maybe)
- Whatever's listed in my TODO list
Note that I do not have any specific time frame for the aforementioned. Feel free to suggest other features you'd like to see in this tool. Also feel free to let me know what upcoming features you want me to focus on.
Questions? Found a bug? Got a suggestion? Just want to say hi? Thanks to /u/Linathan, BFMT has dedicated channels in his Projects/Laboratory Discord server.
