Feedback:

  • I found this assignment's references particularly difficult to follow, especially because of the cutoff in the mathematics for this post: https://github.com/kwea123/gaussian_splatting_notes . Also, I feel as even though we received the recitation and the writeup, I still did not fully grasp where to start implementing many things, and was lost several times when it came to how to compute many of the details in the compute and visualising shaders. Think some clearer references, TODO marks in the code, or some refactoring of not only the code but also the instructions is needed to make clear how to better implement the algorithm.
