Steps to get started

  1. Join the COST-SD GitHub community by raising an issue (you will receive an invitation)

Code of Conduct

  1. Identify a project or set of projects that align with the organization's goals and mission. These projects should have a clear purpose and potential for community involvement.
  2. Create a clear and concise README file for the project that includes information on the project's purpose, usage, installation instructions, and contribution guidelines.
  3. Continuously monitor and maintain the open-source project, responding to issues and pull requests in a timely manner, and releasing updates and new versions as needed.
  4. Create a plan for the open-source project, including the development timeline, milestones, and resources needed.
  5. Choose an appropriate open-source license for the project and ensure that all contributors understand and agree to the terms of the license.
  6. Create a culture of open-source within the organization by promoting open-source values and encouraging participation in open-source projects.
