Yes - we'll feed and water you through the weekend. The last thing we want is our happy hackers getting hungry and wandering off to the pub. We're using a great local social enterprise for the catering. We've used them before and the food was great, so you're in for a treat. And just to remind you, the event is entirely free (including the food) thanks to our sponsors.
Following introductions, and a couple of lightning (3 minute) talks on stuff, we'll split into groups to discuss the various ideas that are in the wiki, and any other ideas that come up on the day. In discussion you will likely find a project that interests you, or where you have a particular technical expertise that can help. Join that team - even if you are the first member. This organic team formation tends to work really well. If you find yourself thinking "my work here is done" and that you want to jump teams mid weekend - that's fine too.
At various points through the weekend we have scheduled a round of lightening updates. Here we take no more than 3 minutes per team to give a very quick overview of the current state of the project to the wider group. This is a great way to keep up to date with other teams, and can help in finding assistance from other teams.
On Sunday afternoon we have final presentations, here each team will show the rest of the group what they have created. These can be longer than the lightening updates - around 10 minutes. The ideal final presentation walks us through the thinking behind the project, what has been accomplished, and what is left to do. Leaving an easy path for others to pick up the project really improves the chances that someone will do. Presentations can be really simple. Just tell us what you have done all weekend. If you have paper prototypes, on screen prototypes, or something else we'd love to see them.
