Code Review

This pull request upgrades express from 4.21.2 to 4.22.0 to address a security vulnerability in the qs library (SNYK-JS-QS-15268416). While the upgrade is a necessary step, the current dependency tree still contains a vulnerable version of qs (6.13.0) introduced via body-parser. Since the application uses express.urlencoded({ extended: true }), it remains exposed to the vulnerability.

"@types/node": "^16.11.41",
"express": "^4.21.2",
"express": "^4.22.0",

high

The upgrade to express@4.22.0 is intended to resolve a resource allocation vulnerability in the qs library. However, the package-lock.json indicates that qs@6.13.0 is still present in the dependency tree as a dependency of body-parser@1.20.3.

According to security advisories (e.g., CVE-2024-45296), the vulnerability is only fixed in qs version 6.13.1 or higher. Since this application uses express.urlencoded({ extended: true }) in src/index.ts (line 75), it remains vulnerable to potential Denial of Service (DoS) attacks via specially crafted POST requests.

To fully resolve this, you should ensure that all instances of qs are updated. You can achieve this by adding an overrides section to your package.json to force a safe version of qs across all dependencies.
