Installation

To patch a vanilla Pokémon Red/Blue Version ROM, download the .bps patch file for your version of choice from the Assets section below, and apply the patch with any patching software. I recommend this online patcher.

  • For Solus Red / Solus Green, patch a vanilla Red Version ROM
  • For Solus Blue, patch a vanilla Blue Version ROM

To instead build the latest version from source, follow the instructions in the install guide.

To build this particular release (if it's not the most current) from source, substitute the git clone instructions in the install guide with instead downloading the Source code archive folder listed in the Assets section below, extracting, and building from there.

  • Custom title screens for each of the 3 versions
  • Green version-specific GBC and SGB palette changes for Solus Green
  • All 151 Pokémon are obtainable
  • Mew as a static battle
  • An in-game trader NPC who will help you evolve the 4 trade evolutions lives in Celadon City
  • HMs can be taught to party Pokémon in separate Field Move slots
  • Battle sprites have been updated
    • Back sprites are now 48x48
    • Some front sprites have been updated to ones from other releases of the Gen 1 games
  • Post-game Professor Oak battle
  • Battle theme changes for some Elite Four members
  • A few vanilla bugfixes
