What's new?

v3.0.1-beta3 (v3.0.1.2-b8d315b)

  • Bump QT to LTS release 5.9.8
  • Removed redundant dependencies and unused features from Qt dep. build. Now it should be build faster, also on Linux it's independent from libX11-xcb and libX11 since this release.
  • Fixed missing QR codes support. Now you can request payment and get (or save) QR code for it. This feature was broken before and QR code placeholder was empty.
  • Better logging and progress displaying on startup. Now you won 't have to wait forever for "Loading blocks ...". Every step have clear progress (%) indication, even in debug.log.
  • SHA256 hardware improvements (sha256d64_sse41, sha256d64_avx2, sha256d64_shani, sha256_shani). As hardware implementation of SHA256 and SHA256D affects almost every hashing operation in core, it should give perfomance boost on startup, loading and validating blocks, transactions, staking and other things.
  • Other minor fixes and improvements.

Notes

For all people who worries about virustotal check results (especially for MacOS and Linux versions): even Bitcoin Core for Mac bitcoin-0.18.1-osx64.tar.gz from official site detected by some AV software as MAC.Miner.6 / RiskTool.OSX.Miner, here is a proof. So, Komodo-Qt (KomodoOcean) is not an exception, bcz it includes miner.
