Proposed Model of DiGo Certify

In this section we will present the proposed model of DiGo Certify that will be implemented in the application in the vision of a student or alumni. The model consists in the three main operations of the application: Certificate Issuance, Certificate Request, and Certificate Validation.

Certificate Request

The process begins with the student or alumni initiating a request for their certificate after his registration. The institution entity then verifies the request and sends the certificate to the DiGo Certify application. The application submits the certificate to the blockchain for validation and secure storage. Once the certificate is stored on the blockchain, the student or alumni can access it through the app and share it with third parties for verification.

Certificate Validation

When a student or alumni provides their certificate to a third party for verification, the third party initiates the validation request to the app. The application verifies the certificate’s authenticity by checking its records against the blockchain, ensuring it has not been tampered with and is issued by a recognized authority. Once verified, the app confirms the certificate's authenticity to the third party, who can then rely on its validity.
