FAQs
No; signups, submission activity (new term: posts, former term: reportbacks), kudos all live in Rogue now. You should never go to Phoenix-ashes for campaign activity.
Yes; Rogue gets signups and submission activity (new term: posts, former term: reportbacks) from all sources.
Quantity lives on the signup - in other words, there is only one quantity for a member for their action. Rogue does not add anything together.
An example of what this looks like right now:
- 1st Submission: 45 quantity --> Quantity = 45
- 2nd Submission: 55 quantity --> New Quantity = 55
- 3rd Submission: 22 quantity --> New Quantity = 22
- Total Quantity: 22
As you can see from the example above, there is only one quantity. This was set up this way to mirror how it worked in the former, Phoenix-ashes world.
Q: But isn't having one quantity confusing since we're asking members to make multiple submissions, especially for collection campaigns?
Yes, it is confusing! We had to mirror the way it formerly worked in Phoenix-ashes to get everything to work with the existing infrastructure that we had. We needed to make sure we were in a place to be able to change what the member experiences when submitting their quantity (Phoenix-next work).
Now that Rogue and Phoenix-next are ready, we have the necessary foundation to make changes to how quantity works that makes the most sense for the member and us. Team Bleed is ready and excited to make these changes to improve the user flow and to have more accurate data reporting.
An example of what this could look like:
- 1st Submission: 45 quantity --> Quantity = 45
- 2nd Submission: 55 quantity --> New Quantity = 45 + 55 = 100
- 3rd Submission: 22 quantity --> New Quantity = 45 + 55 + 22 = 122
- Total Quantity: 122
Either one of three things is likely happening:
-
A member updated their quantity to be the most recent amount added instead of the total, which results in a quantity much less than their total. See How does quantity work? above for more.
-
A member added a new post that has yet to be reviewed. The total as seen on each campaign specific dashboard in Looker only displays the total amount of approved impact. Once the most recent post is reviewed and accepted their total quantity will be included in the campaign impact number.
-
A member added a new post that was rejected. Since we track a single quantity across all posts, when any individual post is rejected we lose that member’s quantity. Once we begin tracking quantity per post and summing the quantity of each post to determine the member’s total impact, campaign leads will be able to reject and accept specific posts without it preventing us from including that member’s quantity in the total impact of the campaign.
Updates to posts are not immediately reflected in Looker. But don’t worry! We add updates to Quasar every hour. So if you approve a post you can expect to see the associated quantity reflected in the campaign’s total impact at most an hour after you approved the post.
