Who is monica?

monica, MinION Open-source Nucleotide Identifier for Continuous Analysis, is an open source software for quantitative metagenomic real-time analysis finely tuned on Oxford Nanopore Technologies MinION sequencing.

It aims to provide with a fast answer on user personal suspicions about specific organisms putative presence, containing both qualitative and quantitative information. This because it won't only provide with a binary answer to the presence (or absence) of an organism, but it will also quantify its nucleic acid concentration thanks to the amount of sequenced data!
