I like it. I will play around a bit to find a combination of attributes and colors that I like the most, but your example is already what I hoped for. Thanks for the work, which was way quicker than the time I need to finish my PhD thesis, where I wanted to add the new penguin.
I will follow all further developments of tikzpingus and other work of you.
