Graphite is not just an editor—It's a new way to write. A way that shows that AI isn't a replacement for writers, but a tool that can be harnessed. Graphite is the first step towards a future where AI doesn't write for you, but with you. Let me show you around.

Editor

The Graphite Editor is the interface that combines your writing playground and Graphite Chat, the writing assistant powered by Google Gemini 1.5 Pro.

• Deep Context Awareness: Graphite Chat also has constant context awareness. Ask questions directly about your writing, without needing to copy and paste segments of whatever you're trying to write to your AI client.
• Long Term Memory: Tell Graphite Chat what you're writing, and it will save this information to long term memory so that it will always remember what you are writing about.
• Smart Suggestions: Ask Graphite to write or edit something for you, and it will create a suggestion card. Simply click on Accept to accept Graphite's suggestion, or click Dismiss to ignore it. With Graphite, you're always in control.

Library

Graphite also allows you to store multiple documents for free, directly on-device (no login required). Each document has its own Chat, so you can start fresh with everything you write.
