Production Plan
1.1. Milestones
1.2. Sprints
3. Budget Plan
For the production of The Toy Box, we decided to organize our project into Milestones and Sprints, this way we can have all the tasks to do ordered and organized in different work times and try to be as efficient as possible.
As a result, we have a total of three milestones: the Vertical Slice, the Alpha, and the Gold. The total estimated work time for the final release is about 14 weeks. In the following table, for each milestone, all implemented features in the game will be noted down in the corresponding department.
Milestones Table as of 15/04/2023
Check milestones table for further updates.
Sprints are organized over one/two week(s) period of time. Each of them starts on Monday and finishes on Sunday. Everything that is planned to do during the sprint is specified. Once the sprint is done, a meeting will take place and a recap will be done. This way we can discuss how the sprint went and solve some potential problems found as well as re-adjust time and tasks and plan the next sprint.

Once a new task has to be done, we prepared a Gantt Diagram to know the start date, the estimated finish date, the team member(s) in charge of it, and its status.

The budget plan of The Toy Box will include all the necessary materials and equipment for the whole development of the game. The estimated weekly working time of each member for the development will be 12 hours/week.
We have estimated a total work time of 200 hours, so:
Then we have other costs such as the co-working space, material, licenses, etc.
Co-Working office costs
Material & Licenses costs
Then we would also have some other costs related to marketing, game distribution, stakeholder meetings, etc.
Other costs
And last but not least, we would have to pay to register our video game (software) onto the Spanish Intellectual Property Registry, which has the following prices (14,97€ in our case):
Apart from all the previous budgets, we would reserve a fund of 4.000€ for some potential issues that we could encounter during the development. These costs would cover material maintenance, outsourcing of experts in some unknown areas, etc.
All in all, taking everything into account, the final budget for the development process of The Toy Box video game would be 42.060,97€ (Taxes excluded).
In order to try to have the less possible amount of incidents during the development of The Toy Box, a risk and contingency table was done. Willing to optimize our working time we have also thought of possible solutions to those possible problems, in that case, if that happens, we would already know what to do.
Risk & Contingency Table
Meetings are planned to be done from one to three times per week, being Monday's meeting the most important of all of them, as the last sprint will be discussed and the next sprint will be planned. Once a meeting is finished, everything talked in it will be recorded in a document, this way we can have a better track of things we have talked and it may also help as a guide for those team members that could not assist to the session.
