WIP: tomato is still very much in development and feature incomplete, since the architecture is still moving around.
Improvements compared to the previous (very old now) release v0.1 - a spout
Avatars, both toxidenticons and avatar files are properly displayed (you cant set your own yet)
Image pasting and crop and encode options
Diverse support for displaying image formats and animations
webp, qoi, png, jpg, gif, svg, avif, jxl and more.
Support depends on which support SDL3_image was built with.
Animations are only supported for gif and webp.
Auto performance modes to reduce fps and cpu usage
Improved startup screen
Plugins are still essential for alot of experimental features like:
- group filetransfers
- group history sync
- file transfer auto accept
- experimental message persistence on disk (its very cool and externally sync-able)

The binaries are ci generated from the last commit. They are huge because of the debug symbols, they are not required to run it.
