Description & motivation

  • Since ScreenRendererByGPU (CIImage-based) has proven stable, unifying the implementation from CPU to GPU.
  • Changed the video pixel format output by MediaMixer from kCVPixelFormatType_32ARGB to kCVPixelFormatType_420YpCbCr8BiPlanarVideoRange. This format is more video-encoder-friendly and is often beneficial for battery consumption.

  • Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to not work as expected)
