Before getting started, make sure your computer meets these basic requirements:
- Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- At least 4 GB of RAM
- 2 GHz dual-core processor or better
- At least 5 GB of free hard drive space
- Internet connection for downloading and updates
- Docker Desktop installed and running (required for managing software components)

You will see a list of release versions. Find the latest version. It usually appears at the top with the highest version number.
Click on the assets section under the latest release. Download the Windows file, which should end with .exe or .zip.
fintech-payment-api uses Docker to run its parts smoothly. If Docker is not on your PC, follow these instructions:

- Download and install Docker Desktop for Windows
- After installation, launch Docker Desktop and make sure it is running (you will see the Docker icon in the taskbar)
- If your download is a
.zipfile, right-click the file and select “Extract All.” - Open the extracted folder and find the executable file (
.exe). - Double-click the executable to start the program.
The program may take a few seconds to start fully. It initializes different parts using Docker, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ automatically.
You should see a window or command prompt showing that the system is running.
If fintech-payment-api includes a simple dashboard, open your web browser and enter:
http://localhost:8080
This address lets you interact with the software on your PC.

Make sure the application started correctly. Look at the command prompt for errors.
fintech-payment-api only runs locally on your PC by default. It does not send your data anywhere unless you connect it to external networks. The program stores payment data safely using PostgreSQL, a reliable database tool.
