Why MenuPiP?

Most PiP apps on macOS only work with video players like Safari or Chrome. MenuPiP is different — it works with any window on your Mac using ScreenCaptureKit.

  • Vibe coding — Watch YouTube tutorials while AI codes for you, keep terminal floating over your IDE
  • Multitasking — Pin any app window as an always-on-top overlay across all spaces and desktops
  • Meetings — Float reference documents, notes, or Slack over Zoom/Teams calls
  • Music — Region-capture just the album art from Apple Music or Spotify
  • Monitoring — Keep dashboards, logs, or Activity Monitor visible while working

Features

Picture-in-Picture for Any Window

Select any open window and instantly create a floating PiP overlay. Always on top, across all Spaces and full-screen apps. Works with Safari, Chrome, Terminal, Xcode, Figma, Slack, Discord, and every other macOS app.

2_multi_pip.mp4

Multiple Simultaneous PiPs

Run as many PiP windows as you need. Each one is independently resizable and positionable. Perfect for multi-monitor setups and ultrawide displays.

3_region_opacity_fps.mp4

Region Capture

Capture just a portion of a window — crop to exactly what you need. Great for isolating album art, chat panels, video feeds, or specific UI elements.

4_click_through.mp4

Opacity & FPS Control

Adjust transparency per PiP window so it doesn't block your view. Control refresh rate individually (1, 5, 15, 30, 60 FPS) to save CPU and battery.

Click-Through Mode

Toggle with ⌃⌥P — clicks pass through PiP windows so you can interact with content behind them. Essential for floating overlays you want to see but not accidentally click.

5_settings.mp4

Settings & Localization

Available in 7 languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, French, German. Launch at login, auto-close when source window closes, and more.
