Emulate PTx
When this fragment is shown, the Android device emulates a Qi charger able to authenticate itself. <br 7> At the Emulated PTx spinner different Qi chargers can be emulated.
At default the following four emulated PTx devices are available:
- ISB0044V1
Emulates a STEVAL-ISB0044V1 device from STMicroelectronics having the Qi ID 2249. A Certificate Chain containing a Secondary Certificate is used for this emulation. - ISB0047V1
Emulates a STEVAL-ISB0047V1 device from STMicroelectronics having the Qi ID 5634. A Certificate Chain without a Secondary Certificate is used for this emulation. - testproduct
Emulates a virtual testproduct having the Qi ID 6386. A Certificate Chain without a Secondary Certificate is used for this emulation. - Test Fake
Emulates a virtual testproduct with a wrong private key. It uses the same Certificate Chain as the testproduct but has a wrong private key to test failed authentications.
You are able to add own emulated PTx devices by copying a Certificate Chain file and the corresponding Private Key file into the external app memory which can be found at Android/data/com.st.wpcath/files/emu.
If you have a second NFC enabled Android device with the Qi Authentication Demo app installed, then the Qi Authentication will be performed by using NFC communications. Therefore you have to bring the NFC antennas of both Android phones together. At most phone models these antennas are located at the backside of the phone.
After a Qi Authentication is performed you see a log on the screen. You can save this log by pressing long on the log list. You will be asked afterwards for the name of the log file. The log file will be stored in the external app memory at
Android/data/com.st.wpcath/files/emu.
