Introduction

I'm Latherio Kidd, an Air Force veteran with a comprehensive background in Information Technology, including IT Support, data analytics, help desk operations, and cybersecurity. I'm originally from Louisiana. I am one of the few people to have wrestled an alligator and lived to tell my tale. This is my reading notes page, where I explore various topics of my journey to become a coding master and share my thoughts. Also, Go Saints!!

What is a Growth Mindset?

In my own words, a growth mindset is an adaptable mindset that continues to evolve based on the challenges, obstacles, and effort that is put forth. It can also be seen as the art of perseverance, constantly trying to improve no matter the situation, even when you don't have to.

Reminders for a Growth Mindset

Here are three reminders to help me maintain a growth mindset:

  1. Embrace Challenges: Instead of avoiding difficult tasks, I will tackle them head-on and view them as opportunities to learn and improve.

  2. Learn from Failure: I will not fear failure but see it as a stepping stone toward success. Every setback is a chance to gain valuable insights.

  3. Seek Feedback: I will actively seek feedback from others to gain different perspectives and continue my personal and professional development.

The Growth Mindset in Action

The growth mindset is an adaptable mindset that continues to evolve based on the challenges, obstacles, and effort that is put forth. It can also be seen as the art of perseverance, constantly trying to improve no matter the situation, even when you don't have to.

To keep yourself in this mindset, you have to realize three key things:

  1. You have to put in the Hard work.
  2. Short-term frustration can lead to long-term improvement.
  3. Once you succeed, all effort is worth it.
