What is the reason for the 5 second timedelta? I don't believe it's necessary |

I was thinking it would be helpful to have a short delay. It's probably not necessary though. I can take it out 👍 |

Prevents email processing from blocking other requests when booting the app. I noticed if you have a lot of emails to process, this can block the main thread and you'll end up with errors on the frontend
