Lantern Slide Utilities

Utilities to support and manage the processing of lantern slides in Media Center workflow. all for use on RAW images with sidecar XMP

label-vis-ls.py

• runs OCR on images & writes raw label text to IPTC description metadata
• creates CSV with label text

label-csv-ls.py

• writes CSV with label text from current IPTC metadata

csv-label-ls.py

• replaces existing IPTC metadata with text from CSV

tabs-label-ls.py

• uses lightroom tags to add subject metadata based on subject tab organization

rename-raw-ls.py

• renames images for export

label-csv-mcid-cat-ls.py

• exports all IPTC metadata for import to MCID
  • label-csv-mcid-tabs-ls.py exports a modified version with subject headings only for initial import
