How to DSKY

MOARdV edited this page Apr 6, 2016 · 1 revision

The ASET Display and Keyboard (DSKY) unit provides multiple modes to display orbital data both for the current vessel and a targeted vessel.

DSKY

The display is divided into three sections, corresponding to the three rows of buttons on the bottom of the instrument.

The upper section of the display consists of three rows of numeric data. The middle and lower section each contain a single row.

Upper Display Section

The upper section has four modes, selected by pressing one of the buttons on the top row. These modes are:

  • ORBIT (displayed above) - displays the vessels Ap (km), Pe (km), and inclination (degrees).

DKSY TGT

  • TGT - displays a targeted craft's Ap and Pe as well as the relative inclination between the vessel and target.

DSKY RNDZ

  • RNDZ - displays rendezvous information for a targeted craft. The top row displays the closest approach distance in meters, the middle row displays the current approach speed in m/s, and the bottom row displays relative inclination. In addition, the middle section displays a countdown to time of closest approach.

  • MNVR - todo.

Middle Display Section

When the DSKY is in ORBIT or TGT, the middle section displays time to Ap, time to Pe, time to AN, time to DN, time to maneuver node, or time to launch, depending on which button is pressed in the middle row of buttons. When the DSKY is in rendezvous mode, the middle display section shows the time to closest approach.

Lower Display Section

The lower section can be configured to display total delta-Vee, stage dV, maneuver node dV, or TRNSF dV.
