Marc Usher - Full-Stack Software Engineer

I'm a multilingual Software Engineer with professional software engineering experience developing large-scale data analytics products, and over 8 years experience in Digital Marketing at internationally-renowned HE institutions.

I followed a long-held passion for digital innovation and tech and retrained into software engineering in 2022, completing General Assembly's full-time immersive Software Engineering course and subsequently working as a Software Engineer at Ito World, developing public transport data analytics products for the Department for Transport and major transport clients as part of a full-stack engineering team. I focused on Django and Ariadne (GraphQL) API back-end architecture connecting with PostgreSQL databases in Dockerized microservice-structured products. At Ito World I also worked on the Bus Open Data Service (BODS), a full-stack Django application linking to PostgreSQL databases, where the work ranged from data modelling and data handling to front-end development in HTML and SASS.

Becoming a Software Engineer was amongst the best decisions of my life. I'm now looking for a company where I can continue to develop my skills and contribute to a collaborative team creating innovative applications.
