The aim of this Choice-based Conjoint Analysis is to investigate customer preferences about student accommodation by answering the following research questions:
- Which room’s features are considered the most important by students? Which attributes’ levels are associated with a positive part worth?
- How can we assess the preference of a specific product profile we want to launch on the market? How can we increase its success?
- Are students’ preferences homogeneous towards the choice of the room?
Data have been collected through a choice-based conjoint survey according to the Fractional Factorial Design with a Mix and Match approach. The sample design follows a snowball sampling, in which existing study subjects recruit future subjects among their acquaintances. We have considered only university students (Master’s, Bachelor’s and PhD), for a total of 142 respondents.
