My own implementation of a portable singleton in C/CPP following the stb style.

Usage

This library is designed to be used as a submodule in your project. To do this, you can run the following command:

git submodule add https://github.com/MasterLaplace/Singleton.git

Or you can add it as a dependency in your CMakeLists.txt file:

Implementation

This Library provides two files, Singleton.hpp and singleton.h. To use it, you need to define SINGLETON_IMPLEMENTATION in one of your source files before including the header file. This will generate the implementation of the functions in the header file.

Note

This library is part of the Laplace project, so it is recommended that you use the #define SINGLETON_STANDALONE macro, which will deactivate the singleton_config.h file used by the Laplace project to configure the library. It is therefore not necessary to include the singleton_config.h file in your project.

Thread Safety

This library is designed to be used in a multithreaded environment. By default, the library is thread-safe, but you can disable this feature by defining the SINGLETON_NO_THREAD_SAFETY macro before including the header file. This will disable the mutexes used to protect the singleton instance and the UnlockInstance functions at the end of an instance use will no longer be useful.
