Developer Notes.
- Happy Holidays, I'm currently recovering from my ankle surgery (Broken Ankle), a bit more inactive than usual, will be gone in January to have a follow up surgery, so things are going to be a bit slower in January as well. Sorry, Version 3.0 will come out later than planned due to these things, which will include EOW & BOTW Ultracam and bunch of other cool things to look out for, they are currently in Patreon/Kofi testing phase.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed instances where the game would crash randomly and unexplainably, this should hopefully fix some crash issues you guys had in the past.
- Fixed frame inconsistencies at 60 FPS lock.

Developer Update :
About a month ago, I broke my Ankle had to go over a pretty complex surgery and was hospitalized for a while, I know some of you don't follow my Discord or Patreon/Kofi, Version 3.0 of the Optimizer, soon to be named (NX Optimizer) is being developed, currently delayed due to the current circumstances, Version 3.0 is a complete code rewrite and has a few new games supported that were modded by me (Echoes of wisdom, Breath of the Wild and Pokemon Scarlet/Violet), there's a branch that is open with a nighty build you can find here, the action tab has a few builds that are downloadable (Requires a git account), but only TOTK and the Pokemon Mods can be installed currently, Version 3.0 will be completely offline, with only auto-update check from Git.

This update brings in a few changes that have been long awaited, fixing the climbing speed issues and ladder climbing issues, those fixes have been available in the beta for some time, I didn't have the time to port them backwards due to my Surgery and other circumstances, it's very painful for me to sit in-front of the PC at the moment, which makes it harder to work on things.

Why is development so slow?
- Due to the complexity of UltraCam and me being the sole development atm, it takes a very long time to manage multiple versions projects and more... Currently BOTW UltraCam is also being developed, It's on about the level of 2.0 right now, with bunch of bugs that need to be fixed, available for EA on Kofi/Patreon.
Why is UltraCam EA on Beta 6 but we're still on 2.5?
- UltraCam EA is UltraCam Calamity (3.0) Beta 6 and the public version is UltraCam Beyond (2.0 - 2.5), They are basically completely different things internally.
With this version the aim is to add more support for community content and ease of community made content. Also addressing long standing bugs.
Most of these features have been available on my Kofi/[Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/MaxLastBreath] for a while, those versions are rather unstable but pack on a lot, lots more features, but if you'd like to you can always support me on there.
- There's also now an experimental version for MacOS available for TOTK Optimizer, it has been for a month.
Internal Changes
- TOTK Console, Open Source UltraCam API
- This console is Server based API that allows you to interact with Ultracam remotely, even on your switch, it's built in a way that is friendly for other modders to change and create their own Program or GUI to interact with Ultracam in real time. The console allows for the spawning of mobs, saving and loading sequences and many other things.
- Climbing on ladders at FPS higher than 60 has been addressed.
- Triple Buffer is fully fixed now, it'll be forced on all the time.
- Added 2 new Benchmarks, Depths and Zora Domain.
- Added Actor Spawner. (Also spawns are now based on camera POS)
- Added support for UltraCam Console & API.
- Added a way to load/save sequences.
- Added a toggle for passive HP regen.
- Added a Benchmark Hotkey ZL + ZR + Left Stick Down.
- Added game-pause. Pauses the world and AI. (Hold ZR + Minus) or P on keyboard
- Removed forced Aspect Ratios
- Added the following TOTK Console Commands:
- spawn, allowing the spawning of multiple enemies front of camera/link.
- tp, allows for the teleportation to specific coordinates.
- cords, prints the location of link.
- settime, allows you to set a specific time.
- gettime, gets the current in-game time.
- changeweather, forces a random weather change.
- pause, pauses the game's world and AI.
- godmode, makes link invicible.
- kill, kills Link.
- heal, heals Link.
- fps, allows you to set custom FPS target in real time.
- fov, allows you to change FOV in real time.
- gamespeed, allows you to change the game speed, 30.0f is default.
- shadow, let's you set shadow resolution 1 - 8
- resolution, let's you change resolution in real time.
- freecam, toggles freecam.
- hideui, hides UI.
- savesequence, saves sequence data in json file.
- loadsequence, loads sequence data.
- benchmark, plays benchmark.

What now?
- I'm already working on a new solution to aspect ratios that doesn't touch any game files, in-fact It's been in the works for a few months but has been on the low priority scale.
- Ultracam continues it's development in 3.0, Ultracam doesn't use a single gamefile.
- UI mods will basically never return now, due to the high amount of risk they process.
Fixes
- This should include a Linux Button fix.
I have plans to release a few new benchmarks and a button key for benchmarks on controllers for Switches & potentially a few more fixes... This may come next week if things are going well.

BOTW UltraCam now (WIP) available on Kofi alongside UltraCam 3.0 Beta 1 (A new Console that lets you do stuff in real time! Like heal/godmode, fps, resolution, shadows, passive health regen out of combat and lots more stuff)
Due to a lot of complains about AVs. The TOTK optimizer CI also now makes a full_dir zip file.
- If you have issues or concerns the .exe/.Appimage files included in the -dir file are compiled differently, they aren't a single file so they don't get any issues with AVs. Pyinstaller single file option is often flagged automatically by random AVs and sometimes even windows defender.
Keep in mind all the code of the optimizer is compiled fully by github actions, you can freely compile it yourself by just forking the repo.

- Integrated the Launch button to work with Linux
- Ensure the Launch Button works with suyu, yuzu and any other yuzu fork...
Bug Fixes.
- Fixed the Zoom Levels of the in-game scope (ALL FOVs)
- Fixed the horizontal speed of the in-game scope
- Fixed FOV not being properly set at the beginning of a no-save state game.
- Potentially Fixed crashes related to no-save state game.
- Ryujinx has now improved performance very drastically with 4k shadows and 4k resolution, therefore nearly all crashes related to the resolutions have been solved. (be careful to not go too high though.)
Adjustments
- Changed the High Preset to use 4k shadows instead of 3072.
- Changed the Ultra preset to use 6k resolution instead of 8k. (Should work on Ryujinx, probably)...
- Removed unstable from High for Ryujinx.
- Renamed some paths related to the TOTKOptimizer stuff...
- Reworked the launch button to work with Linux.
- Added the browse executable for Linux versions, hence now the launch button requires it.
- Ensured the Launch button asks for an executable if there's none pointed yet.
