The intent is to serve as a roadmap for features and functionality we'd like to see in Menge. This page will serve as the focal point for these points. We'll update it with priorities and ideas as we go.
Features (currently unprioritized):
- Unity tie in
- Live simulation
- playback of Menge scb files
- Authoring tool (less error prone than wrangling XML) (in work)
- Dynamic populations
- Sinks and sources to generate and destroy agents
- Combine hetergeneous models in a single simulation
- This will allow combining two different pedestrian models and serve as the entry point for multi-modal simulation (e.g., cars and bicycles.)
- Improved documentation (in work)
- Developer docs
- User black-box docs
- Minor features
- Improved agent placement on multi-level navigation meshes
- More pedestrian models (GCF, opensteer, continuum, cellular automata, etc.)
- More event implementations
- Externally driven agent -- create an agent class whose instantaneous velocity can be driven by some external source (e.g., joystick, controller, etc.)
