From a balance perspective I can understand this, but it feels odd that a leader of the templars can't do what their underlings can. I'm not sure what IC argument one could make for the GM to not be able to use miracles.

They're devoted entirely to combat, and their 'miracle' is being able to use their weapon, which nobody else can even pick up

This is honestly a dumb thing, we all know what gonna happen. them roundstart being appointed to be a templar by the priest, I suggest just giving them a weaker devotion holder, like on par with churchling, I guess?

That would make them unable to use their weapon because their title changes though (if they can be made a templar to begin with)

I REALLY want to see a grandmaster try this and then go "Uhhh admins, why cant I pick up weapon anymore?"

imo they could do without the weapon activation (keep it bonded to them though), plus a miracle trim (maybe give them the regular call to arms that ravox templars get), but, bump their selected weapon spec to master on whatever they pick that way they're less about miracles n shit n more about fighting straight up which is more in line w their faith anyway. i think having the grandmaster be less about ''magic'' and more about wrecking shit is a lot cooler
