This release includes a small number of bug fixes and new features. Notable changes include

  • Batch Log by default only shows recently roasted batches of coffee. I've found that most of the time this is used to pull up information about a recently roasted batch and sometimes is used to search for a batch roasted on some particular known date. Two new controls above the table control the range of roasting dates presented. The old behavior of presenting every batch ever recorded is still available by selecting the Lifetime date range.
  • The New Batch window now allows simple arithmetic expressions when entering the roasted weight of a batch of coffee. If your batch needs to be split into multiple containers for weighing you can type the separate weights with + between them, press tab, and Typica will add everything together. More complex expressions are also supported, but the usefulness of that is unclear.
  • Three new timer types are now available beyond the familiar batch timer. One is intended as a cooling timer which counts down at the end of a batch to let you know when that batch should be finished cooling. The other two are used for timing parts of a batch and can make certain types of experimentation or checking adherence to a roasting plan easier. A new video shows how these work.
