Installing the App

The App interacts with a server to get and submit data. The installer for the app is available with the same server. To install the app open the browser on the Android device and type in the following URL and hit ENTER/RETURN.

This will start the download. You may or may not get an option here to open the downloaded file for installation. If you get the option then start the installation. If you don't get then open File Manager app on your device and find the downloaded app.apk in Download(s) folder.

Install from unknown sources may have to be enabled.

Ongoing assessments and Submission of assessments

In ONGOING tab three types of assessments are shown.

  • OPEN ASSESSMENTS - These are assessments that have been started but have not been completed. You can continue to edit these assessments but not submit them. In order to be able to submit them, you should check the scores once which would move these assessments to SUBMIT category and then you can submit them.
  • COMPLETED - These are assessments that have been completed and submitted. You can edit these assessments again if you would like.
  • (TO BE SUBMITTED) SUBMIT - These are assessments that are completed but not submitted (they may have been submitted before but have new changes on your device). You can edit them or submit them.

There are certain checkpoints that allow for which the assessment can be marked as "Not Applicable" instead of providing a score. This can be done by toggling the "Applicable/Not Applicable" switch at top-right in the checkpoint section.

Advanced - Terminology

  • Checkpoint - Single compliance question which can be scored between 0-2
  • Checklist - A group of checkpoints usually given the same name as a department
  • Assessment Tool - The system has different assessment tools setup like District Hospital, Community Health Center etc. Assessment tools consist of multiple checklists.
  • Checkpoint Score - The score given by you for a checkpoint.
  • Assessment - Assessment consists of all checkpoint scores for a facility for one assessment tool. There could be more than one assessment for a facility.

Advanced - How are submissions from different devices linked with each other as a single assessment?

The submissions go to the server database when you submit them. When a user submits an assessment from their device for a facility a new assessment is created, if one doesn't exist already. To determine whether an assessment exists or not two checks are made:

  1. Facility of submitted assessment
  2. Whether there is an existing assessment for that facility which has been submitted in last 10 days. (if you submit after 10 days then a new assessment would get created)
