Why does invoking ms_imputer.utilities.maxquant_trim change the reconstructed matrix?

This doesn't make any sense. The arrays assigned to quants_matrix (L64) are identical, whether maxquant_trim is run or not. So why are the reconstructed matrices so different? What am I missing?

The maxquant_trim logic appears to be sound.
